Orange Glazed Blueberry Oat Scones

1 cup Franz Blueberry Hot Cereal & Baking Mix

1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1⁄2 tablespoons baking powder

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup sugar

1⁄2 cup butter (chilled and cut into pieces)

3⁄4 cup buttermilk or cream

1 egg

Orange Glaze

2 tablespoons butter

2 cups powdered sugar

2 oranges, zested and juiced

Preheat oven to 375°. Combine Franz Hot Cereal & Baking Mix, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar; mix thoroughly. Cut in butter, using 2 knives or a pastry blender, until crumbly. In another bowl, mix buttermilk and egg together, and then add to the flour mixture. Mix just to incorporate, do not overwork the dough. Drop large tablespoons of batter on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before applying orange glaze. Orange Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar, orange zest and juice. Cook over medium heat until butter and sugar are melted and mixture has thickened. Remove from heat and beat until smooth and slightly cool. Drizzle or brush on top of scones and let glaze get hazy and hardened.
